I live in California and after a lot of research on the legality of bring mute swans into california I purchased a mated pair of mute swans. Now the local Fish and Game warden is telling me that I have to get rid of the swans because they are not "native" to california and therefore cannot be in the state.
I know there are a lot of very large swan breeders is Calif. so I am looking for any help anyone can provide me on fighting this guy, in a nice way.

He is basing his argument on the simple fact that it is against the rules to bring any non-native bird, animal, etc. into the state.

Any help would be appreciated.
