Per your book you recommend a 1:1 mixture of cracked corn and laying pellets for supplemental feeding. You said that the cracked corn is a “filler” and the nutrition is in the lay pellets. Are you filling for cost or calories? If cost is not a factor, why not straight lay pellets?

We have modified mounting your Blitz feeder with a mail box support, removed the door (we get very little rain) and modified the baffle to allow feed to fill up to the lip.
