Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: muted swan cygnet (Petra)

One year ago we bought a place in Coats, NC with two large ponds, being inhibit with a muted swan couple. We were told that every year their offspring disappear very early on and none of them ever made it. This year we decided to capture one, and he is now six weeks old and as large as a duck. When do you think will be the right time to let him back to his parents? We have observed large fish, turtles, blue heron and hawks at our place and therefore worried about those predators.
