Hi:

From the photo, we don't think that the swan is actually nesting, only resting. The goose may have just been in the area. Also, from the swan's appearance, it may be a young swan that is somewhat scared or intimidated by the goose as the swan's neck is held back on the wings like it is trying to protect itself. So, having two species in the same area is rather normal, especially in public parks and other areas where there is ample food. The Regal Swan
