Hi Jim:

They would probably have no problem, especially if you are going to take care of them as you have taken care of them in Boston. The only caution is that you must have a lake habitat free from predators. We have coyote, fox, bobcat, panther and alligators that will readily see the birds as a nice lunch. You will need to predator proof your lake to ensure that the birds do not meet their demise with any of the above predators. As far as relocation regarding climatic changes, no problem.
