Hi Moni:
The mother's wet body actually adds humidity to the heat of her sitting on the eggs. Swans as well as many other eggs of birds and reptiles require not only heat, but the proper humidity so that the eggs do not dry out. This is why it is very difficult to incubate some types of bird eggs. Humans cannot determine the exact humidity during the incubation process. The Regal Swan
