We are having the same thing. Happening right now. As of this morning the male swan is gone. (I'm sure b/c of attacking swans) And the nearby family is attacking the nesting mom who has 8, 1 day old cygnets. If we do not protect her, the male comes right up to attack her.

What can we do???
