In Response To: Keeping cygnets around (Carol)

Hi we have a pair of swans that live in our neighborhood lake. This year they hatched 4 cygnets that have managed to survive for 3 weeks now. I understand that when they get to be about 6 months old that the parents chase them away. Is there any way we can keep them around? We really want to have more swans in our lakes and I know that there were more here in the past. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If it makes any difference, we are in Wichita Kansas USA.
