In Response To: How to clean nesting area without disturbing the swans (Cynthia)

Hi -

There is a pair of mute swans that appear to be nesting nearby, and there's trash close to the nest that I'd like to try to remove before any cygnets are born. Will it be too disruptive to try to clean the area while the swans are away from the nest? I don't know if it's worse to leave the trash or to risk making them feel the area is unsafe by approaching it and cleaning it.... Please advise!
