Thank you so much for your quick reply. Yes, they had 5 eggs, but I still think a coyote got them. I still think it is a male and female (I will enclose pictures for you to see, I just took today), but I think I did a poor job at explaining what I meant about aggressive. The male used to beat up all the geese, seagulls etc. that would try to come near his feeding area, and now just lets them swoop in, while the female still gets large....But when another swan flys by, they both get puffed up.
