Male Swan Death- Female Isolated.

Two weeks ago we discovered our male swan killed outside of the pond near their fenced enclosure- we assume that a coyote somehow got into our property.

The female had laid one egg by that point. The male gets very protective and has in the past come out of the water to try intimate and attack anyone who gets near the swan house.
At any rate, we were saddened to see him killed. Now the dilema is our female refuses to come into the swan house (where there is food) and has not laid anymore eggs, nor given any attention to the one existing egg.

Should we attempt to get another mate for her? How do we get her to eat? It sounds silly but do you think she is traumatized?
