Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Cygnet with wing deformity, cannot fly (Christopher)

I live on Staten Island NY, I work at a marina and care care of the local resident swans, one of there cygnets writhing the last month looks like his wings are deformed. I called the local audabon society as well as the wild bird fund, both said they can help but are unable to provide capturing assistance. I sent them pictures and they said it looks like something called (angel wing). I have no means to capture this cygnet safely and properly.. I need guidance and assistance to get him to a place where he can receive the proper treatment and live his life out without fear of predators..
