I have heard that swans deter geese from nesting. We would like to get some swans to nest in a lake in our town which has become infested with canada geese. We do not want to keep them as pets! Is there some place we can get wild swans and how do we encourage them to stay. We are in a the catskills new york state park, no motor boats on the lake. it is stocked with fish by new york state. There is an island and would provide a beautiful home for swans. Thanks for any information you can provide.
