In Response To: Re: tundra swans in Arkansas (The Regal Swan)

Hi:

Are you sure that they were Tundras? Did they have a yellow lore (between eye and beak)? If not, they may very well have been Trumpeter Swans. Both wild swans and captive swans can be marked with neck bands. So, we are not sure if they were wild or captive. In any case, both species of swans can be seen in the Arkansas area as Trumpeters are being re-introduced to the area and Tundras can fly through. The Regal Swan
