Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Re: Swans (The Regal Swan)

Hi Judy:

Juvenile swans will eventually turn the color of the parents, full color around 12 months of age. The one swan will turn the same color as the rest of the family shortly. Juvenile swans will be about the same size as the parents around 8-10 months of age. They may be males which would make them a little larger than the female swans. There really isn't much special about the younger one, only that it is taking a little longer to change color. The Regal Swan
