The swan by the River Dart in Totnes close to where I live, discarded her eggs yesterday. I suppose this could have been the result of a very high tide which nearly covered the nest but the eggs which were rolled down the side of the nest have now been gathered up on the ground and the swan is sitting on them again. Can you explain, please? Thank you.
