My son is looking for a 4H woodworking project, Is there any reason we can't make a swan feeder Like the Blitz style out of wood?

I am thinking we can seal it w water seal to make it waterproof and then the squirrels won't be able to chew holes in the lid.

We have crazy squirrels around here and they jump from the land to the top of our feeder and chew holes in the lids until they can get in and eat all the food! thank you Shelly
