Hi Sarah:

If a swan gets sick or injured, the flock/family may shun them or they may seek isolation away from the flock/family. The reason for this is so that if they are ill, the flock/family does not catch the disease. If the swans are injured, they do not want to lead a predator to the flock/family.

Glad to know that she is doing well and has returned to her family. The Regal Swan
