In Response To: Re: Three swans flying - teaching flight? (The Regal Swan)

Hi Kay

Yes, this would be a training flight with either one parent and two juveniles or two parents and one juvenile. Had there been more juveniles, obviously there would have been more swans testing their wings. During this time when the juveniles are still learning from and under the care of their parents, other swans or family of swans are not tolerated in the same area. This will change during the migratory season when the juveniles can take care of themselves and told to go out and mingle with other young swans to find their eventual life mate. The Regal Swan
