Unfortunately, there is no real way of determining the gender of a swan unless a veterinarian physically exams the cloaca, conducts DNA Sequencing or you wait until nesting season to ascertain if the swan lays eggs. Of course, nesting season will require a swan of opposite gender to be able to use nesting as an indicator. Therefore, DNA Sequencing is the most exact way of finding out the gender. The Regal Swan
