Staying too long on the nest.

My husband and I purchased a pair of Swans this spring. The pair built their nest in a 3/4 surrounding nesting box. The front is open to the water. All was well and the Pen laid 6 eggs. Around mid June the cygent started to hatch and we had three. The first night, all was well then the racoons climbed over the fench or swam into the nesting box and took all the cygnet. We have 2 eggs left and we are sure they are dead. They are both still protective of the eggs and we do not know what to do. It has been about two week since the loss of the others. We are afraid that the Pen will become ill if we do nothing and she remains on the nest any further. Please help. We are new to having Swans. Thank You.
