cygnets

I have successfully raised 2 cygnets since May 26, 2011. They have imprinted on each other. They know me, but I wouldn't say they have imprinted on me. The birds are healthy and have their feathers now. I have given them freedom and have trained them to come to the pond to eat their spinach and grain. They swim around for awhile and then I notice that they are off exploring. They always return to the barn where they were raised. I would like to get them to the point where they stay on water all night and learn safety from the coyotes . The cygnets aren't getting it, and I am afraid to leave them out all night for fear they won't stay on the pond and will meet their demise. Any Suggestions?

Also, I have a black male swan that I have cared for now for 3 years and he is healthy....and presently staying at my friend's pond so that he doesn't harm the cygnets in any way. I do have the Keeper's Handbook on swans which I have read and review and believe the mutes won't get along with the Black Swan. The pond is an acre. Is there any hope that I will be able to keep all three to live on the pond?

Thanks in advance for your knowledge and help in this situation.
