The swan parents will take care of them. Just make sure that the parents stay with the cygnets to protect them from predators. All the swans need to be fed a mixture of cracked corn and poultry layer pellets with lettuce added to their diet. Again, the parents will teach the young birds how to be swans, how to bathe, feed, preen and learn how to protect themselves from predators which is not something that humans can teach the young birds. Therefore, it is very important that the swan family stays together for approximately 6-8 months. The Regal Swan
