Our male is wandering to other ponds, he is well fed, so the only reason I can think of is companionship. He is about 4 years old. I'm certain about the sex.

We live in Georgia, there are no regulations regarding Mute Swans.

Yes we have other lakes for the cygnets. We acquired our original pair from Knox years ago.
