Hi Kimberly:

Yes, mother knows best. She probably kicked them out of the nest. If they accidently rolled and they were within a short distance, she would have put them back in the nest. Swans lay some infertile eggs, with the first one (not always but usually) being a dud. So, she knows what she is doing, not to worry. The Regal Swan
