Hi there!
I know it really is remarkable! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! I didn't get too close to them as I have two dogs with me as well! so I kept at a safe distance! I just zoomed in with my camera!! I have to say though, that I too believe that if there are any eggs there is a strong possibility that they could be infertile, we'll just have to see! I shall keep going to see them with camera at the ready for any (hopefully) developments!
