Hi Rosemary:
Swans migrate south during the winter and stop to rest along their migratory paths. Migratory paths depend on where their spring nesting and summer habitats are located. Wintering grounds could be south through Arizona, the Gulf states or North Carolina.
With the recent severe winter weather this past week, the swans may have been blown off course or had to wait until the weather cleared. In either case, they will spend a couple of days to get their bearings rest, find food and then proceed to their winter resting grounds. The Regal Swan
