Hi AJ..We are sorry for your loss. The first thing we would suggest is to get the carcass on ice and submit immediately to a veterinary medical clinic or animal diagnostic laboratory. They can run trauma infection parasitic and toxicological exams to see what killed the bird. We would strongly suggest this in order to protect the remaining bird. Additionally, if the bird was sick prior to you receiving the bird from the breeder, the greater chance that you may collect restitution for your costs related to buying the birds.

If a predator was responsible, there would not be much of the bird remaining and would have visible trauma signs. So, this is unlikely and can be ruled out. Please let us know the results. The Regal Swan
