As an update...I've successfully harrassed the bully pair so they they don't come into my yard to attack Carl. Of course, Carl is quite pleased with this development! It is so cute to see him peeking around the corner of the dock to make sure the coast is clear before coming down the cove! Thanks for your guidance on this issue.
I understand that lettuce should be given as a supplement to the poultry pellets and cracked cornduring the winter months. I haven't been successful in getting Carl to eat romaine. Is there a type of lettuce swans prefer? What is your suggestion to get a swan who doesn't seem interested in eating lettuce to do so?
