Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Eggs rolled out of the nest, placed back; mother swan still sitting after 2 months (Nancy)

We have a pair of swans (I think they are trumpet) at my work place. Mom swan laid her eggs somewhere around the 1st of April. One day a couple of weeks ago, I noticed one egg had rolled out of the nest onto the sidewalk. I walked around the lake and came back and another one was on the sidewalk. So we called the maintenance dept. and they placed the eggs back in the nest and mother got back on them. My concern is that she is still sitting on them. All the other ducks and swans have had their babies. Is there anything we should do or just leave it be.
