In Response To: Male Swan sends all babies over a weir (Elaine)

Hi, For the second year running, our local pair of swans have hatched 6 Cygnets ....only for the male swan to deliberately drive them all over the weir within a few days. He actually drives them over by swimming behind them.

Can the male swan be removed from the pond next year (for a few weeks perhaps or longer) if she has more ...or would this be wrong ?

We have tried to put netting up at the opening to the weir, but the sheer force of the water over this 6 foot drop has ripped it all down again. :-(

What can we do to help these beautiful innocent babies please.
