We're not sure the age of the cygnets at this time, but if they are fairly young and can come into contact with a predator, i.e., bobcat, snapping turtle, egret, hawk, etc., the chances that all will survive is probably very low in nature. However, if they are in an enclosed setting where predators cannot come into contact, the chance of survival increases.

The cygnets can be removed approximately 7-8 months of age. The adults will begin to allow the cygnets to go more and more out on their own with very limited supervision. The closer to the next mating season when the cygnets turn 9-11 months of age, you will notice more aggressive behavior from the parents trying to get the cygnets to leave the parent's territory.
