Recently we adopted three, 5 week old trumpeter swan cygnets born to a mated pair of captive parents. We have a three acre fenced aviary, one acre pond, with a nesting island. Also living in the aviary are several geese and a couple ducks. Currently the trumpeters have settled in nicely and seem to be progressing well with the other birds, however I am concerned for the future welfare of the geese. If raised together from early on, is their still a reasonable danger of the swans injuring or killing the other fowl as they become mature adults? Thank you for sharing your insight.
