Thanks so much for getting back to me. This Swan used this same nest last year and all of her young were lost to later rains or coyotes. Later on in the year can I relocate this nest for her to higher ground and will she still take to it? If she tries again next year in the same place I'm afraid she'll have the same results due to the spring rains and runoff water flowing into the lake from the expanding housing development on the other side of the lake.
