How big of a threat are Coyotes to Adult black swans

I recently purchased a pair of black swans, approximately 6-8 months in age, for my pond. I know there are coyotes in the area and have partially fenced in the area around the pond where they spend most of their time on the shore. I've heard that coyotes rarely attack swans, as their wings are powerful and can usually fend off coyotes. I intend on putting low barrier snow fencing around the rest of the pond perimeter so they can only come ashore in the fenced in area. Hopefully the fencing will give them sufficient warning if a coyote tries to go after them at night. I live in central michigan, are the coyotes a threat in the summer, more of a threat in the winter as food becomes scarce,,how concerned should i be?
