Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Rescued swan (Marlin)

We rescued a young swan from a lake nearby from an older swan that kept attacking it. The young swan is dripping mucus from its beak. We were wondering why the swan is doing that and what might be causing it. The young swan also has an old injury underneath its beak from getting attacked. If anyone has input about the mucus dripping we would greatly appreciate it.
