I live by a river and have watched a pair of swans bring up two babies. However this morning I only saw one cygnet and the mother. I could not see the other cygnet. Tonight I only found the cygnet and no parents around or the other cygnet....these are about 5 months old. Can they servive without the mother or father now and is it likely that the parents are around, just allowing the cygnets much greater freedom?
