Hi, I recently discovered the swans by our ponds had two eggs on a nest.
A day later I found one egg a distance for the nest (a swan could not have carried it that far), and the other egg had gone. I managed to put the egg back in the nest site, and a few days later I discovered there is another egg again making two. The female had been sitting intermittently on the nest.
However, I have today seen that the female has laid another egg in a DIFFERENT nest site ! (there are no other swans in the vicinity)
What do you think will happen? will the swans sit on both nests ? or move to the new nest site.
Any response appreciated.
THANKS
