Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Mute swans in rain forest? (Jayme)

Do you think I can breed succesfully mute swans in rain forest Brazil? Here temperatures never drop below 23 centigrades at night and during the day the temperature can reach 34 centigrades, all year long, with heavy rainfall from january to june. Is it possible? Have you heard succesfull stories? I Know they are bred in southeastern Brazil, subtropical climate, but here we are talking about the equatorial climate.

P.S. The black swan breed regularly here as long as they are fed high quality pricey food. Do you think the same applies to mute?

P.S.2. A pair of Mutes in Brazil have a market price of 4 pair of blacks
