In Response To: Swan incubation period: Swan sitting on eggs for over a month (Dana Flynn)

Hi - there is a white swan that has built a nest and has been sitting on her eggs for awhile. There are 4 eggs. Alot of swans on the lake have already had their babies. The male swan is never seen. I would guess it has been over a month that she has been sitting on her eggs. The nest is close to the road and lots of people stop and look. Is it possible the eggs won't hatch? Is there a way to tell if the eggs are bad? I feel really sad for this mother swan. Any advice??
