Hi! Swan specialist,
Thank you for all the great information on your site. As a novice raising two female swans, it has been very beneficial.
I live in suburban Philadelphia, and the Northeast has experienced an extremely cold winter this year. When the temperatures dropped into single digits and the pond froze, we brought the two swans into the garage according to your instruction. My question is whether or not they have to have access to water to swim, and whether it affect their feet or other anatomy negatively if they cannot swim during this time of captivity.
I have been misting them, and realize swimming would be good exercise. Is getting them a baby pool mandatory for health reasons?
