Hi Gregory
You must have the cygnet's wing pinioned (one wing's flight portion amputated) at 1-3 weeks of age by a licensed veterinarian. You do this at the 1-3 week of age timeline, otherwise the bird will need anesthesia which may be harmful to the bird and will be much more expensive. The Regal Swan
