In Response To: Nesting swan and blizzard coming (Nancy)

Due to the unseasonable temps here in NJ in February, our swans built a nest on Feb 25th and she has been out there since and has weathered 50 mi hour winds and a couple inches of snow and some sub-zero temps. The male has been in close proximity and I have only seen her off the nest once to feed along the grass.

We are expecting a blizzard and 12-18 ft of snow, coastal flooding and high winds in tomorrow night. Is there anything we can do to help them? I'm assuming she won't abandon the nest and may die. Thank you for any advice you may have.
