Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Single Mute Swan (Mary)

Hello,

There's a single mute swan in the parking lot of the condo I reside. We live in a pennisula surround by water, the airport is a mile from the condo, the beach front is approximately 5 mins walking distant, and there's a pond across where the Golf course is, the Waterfowl are seen here during the spring through fall.

I've feed it bread and water during the morning. Now it's mid afternoon and the mute swan is still hanging around. We're expecting 3-4 inches of snow due to the Northeastern storm, with current wind speed of 30/mph. It there a reason why it's here? Please advise. Thank you.
