Hi Lucinda:

No need to call anyone. The egg is not viable if the mother is not sitting on it. The best thing you can do is to get it out of your house immediately and throw the egg into the center of the pond. The egg will eventually explode and you will have a major mess and smell in your house. The Regal Swan
