In Response To: Why is the male swan taken away from the female (Dora)

My residential area has a pond and a pair of swans are leased and placed in the pond every spring. Last year shortly after the cygnets were born, the male swan was taken away for a while and returned to join his family later. This year about a week before the cygnets were hatched, the male swan is taken away again, and has not been returned yet. It's been 3 days since the cygnets are hatched. It's pretty sad to see the female swan raising the 6 cygnets alone. Why do the people who manage the swans do it?
