Water moccasin and trumpeter swans

I have two pinioned trumpeter swans living in a half acre pond in Georgia. They are big and healthy but am concerned that I have seen a large snapping turtle laying eggs this year around the yard and mainly concerned about a water moccasin that I found in the water at the pond's edge last week. I was able to kill the moccasin but am sure there are more where that one came from. Do you hear of instances where moccasins bite and kill swans?

Since the swans spend many hours pulling up weeds, etc. at the pond's edge, I'm so afraid they might get bit by a water moccasin now.

Thanks for your information and advice.
