In Response To: widowed swan (Nini)

I have a female mute swan whose mate just died and I need some advice. She is located in a large pond self-contained in my backyard. I realize swans mate for life and am concerned for her emotional and physical well-being being without another swan. I am not in a position to introduce a new swan into the pond and am likely going to be moving within the next 6 months. I live in Colorado and have found few, if any, knowledgeable resources for swans. I would appreciate any help one can give me. I truly miss my male swan, Steve, but want to do the best thing for my female swan, Lucille. Thanks
