In Response To: A swans love for its mate (Rick Mynatt)

Hi, recently I was talking to a friend who told me that a swans love for its mate can be so strong that some swans when their mate dies will fly up, then plummet to the ground and hit like a stone breaking their neck, and I was wondering if you had ever heard of this happening with any type of swan?
