I have been watching a swan nest at htp://www.ustream.tv/channel/swans-nesting . This morning the egs hatched and the male started killing the babies. Why? He killed at least one and was attacking the second but it is believed the mother was able to get it back into the nest. I have been watching her for several weeks and this behavior was very upsetting. Why would the male distroy his own chicks?
